When will the compounded version
be back?
Maybe never... maybe in a few months... it all depends on the impact of their absence in the market. It's easy to imagine that without this cheaper alternative that the demand for the brand name products will increase, thus causing backorders again. The FDA would then have to place the molecule back on the backorder list and 503B manufacturers would have to re-ramp production once more.
Can I switch to a brand name drug?
Yes, please ask your provider to send us that script but most insurances are choosing not to cover these products in 2025 and they cost significantly more than the compounded version.
Can I order an extended day supply?
Absolutely. That is the purpose of this page! Vials are currently shipping with an expiration date about a year from now, meaning you can order enough to get you through 2025. Please look at your existing refills on your current vial and notify your doc ahead of time that you need more.
